They are especially recommended for mesh-type heaters, where using only small stones can cause tight packing and more difficult maintenance. How to choose the right size? Small and mini heaters: use only smaller stones (5–9 cm). Medium and large heaters: combine both sizes: Larger stones (7–15 cm) at the bottom, Smaller stones (5–9 cm) at the top. Why combine different stone sizes? In mesh-type heaters, only small stones can pack tightly over time. Using larger stones in the lower layers improves airflow and simplifies future maintenance.
